2012 Gardening Disasters!

Following on from a recent article about the lack of vegetables growing in my garden, I found this video about a patio container garden in Chicago.

Seems like the poor weather could be a global phenomenon…

2012 Gardening DisastersNow, more to the point, what has been your experience of gardening in 2012?

I’d be really interested in hearing from folks around the globe. I’m desperate to know that the cold and rain hasn’t been restricted to Yorkshire (we’re in the middle of flooding at the moment and the worst September storm in 30 years!).

Go on… leave a comment and cheer me up!

  1. It was a bad year for me for tomatoes and melons. They weren’t doing well anyway, and then when I went on vacation for a week the groundhogs moved into the garden and took bites out of everything. They even ate all the leaves off of my sweet potato plants!

  2. Thanks, Shannon. It’s a shame about your tomatoes and melons but at least I know my poor crop is a global phenomenon.

    Cold comfort, eh?

Enjoyed your site, by the way.
