They reckon that today is the most depressing day of the year!
However, here in Yorkshire its been a lovely blue-skied day, although it was VERY cold.
Just the kind of day to spend a lovely afternoon wandering around the grounds of Castle Howard (of ‘Brideshead Revisited’ fame).
It was great to feed the ducks and geese as they skated across the ice on the lakes! It’s a real treat to have this historic house on my doorstep.
However, today is also the day that many people book flights to a warm destination. It’s not surprising, but it’s also bad news for the planet in terms of pollution and greenhouse gases. Not a very good idea if you’re trying to go green.
