My name is Alan Moore and for several years I have been passionate about growing my own food, mainly fruit and vegetables. I’m not a gardening expert by any means and I learn by trial and error – probably a good method overall.
It’s my aim to provide some great information for all budding gardeners who share my interests and enthusiasm for growing healthy food. I’d like you to join me in my journey as I pick up tips and techniques that can help you to become a better gardener and save money along the way.
If I find any useful products, books or equipment that might help, then I will share them with you as well, but know that I will never promote products purely to line my own pockets; that is not what this website is about.
As an offshoot, I’m also interested in related topics such as going ‘green’, vegetarianism, self-sufficiency and organic food/lifestyle.
Maybe you, like me, have reached a stage in life where you are tired of the 9-5 grind and lack of control over your life. I’m now actively searching for ways to ‘downshift’ and spend more time doing the things I enjoy: gardening, composing, playing the piano, travelling and creating websites.
It’s not always easy, but I’m slowly learning about opportunities and ideas that will allow me to reach my ideal lifestyle; my own Nirvana!
